The city of Vienna has shown its face, the municipal works are ‘taking care’ of their green environment. They have been cutting under the false pretext of security and it’s obvious, they really don’t give a damn.
I came across this magnificent and proud pine tree along the Donaukanal at Obere Donau Strasse in 2018. I passed it many times before I portrayed it in full glory on Black & White film October 2020.
Beginning of April 2021, I was confronted with this poor tree being mutilated badly. I was devastated and I am still very upset to see it really has been tortured by the cutting. Now after three months of suffering, it seems it’s no longer surviving.
